pentium arch

Just wondering if anyone has thought of a pentium+ arch (as
supposed to the 386+ arch) There are a lot of improvements in the P5
chip and these could be taken adventage of (especially in the SMP
systems). Anyone have any ideas? Pros/Cons? Has this been discussed
before I was on the list? etc...
