First, there was a problem in arch/i386/kernel/vm86.c: a duplicate case
statement starting on line 382 or so. I removed that and tried to
recompile (make dep; make clean; make zImage). This time, the error was
in ldt.c. Apparently, the patch had some trouble with it: it can't find
any sort of reference explaining ldt_info.useable (line 99).
I have already reversed the patch and re-applied it, to no benefit. I'll
probably just download the kernel source and try again.
