[2.]
The problem is described in 5., i only got this problem with this new kernel. Before i upgrade i was using kernel 2.2.14cl and ppp runs nice, but i got problems with sound VIA-chipset(like in docs), then, i decided to upgrade, with this kernel(2.2.17) my sound works fine, but ppp crashs, i´ve tried to compile the kernel 2.2.16 and got problems with ppp too...

I´ve tried to upgrade my pppd version to 2.4.0 and the problem persist, i´m running linux on notebook (Compaq presario 1200). If i upgrade to kernel v2.3 or 2.2.18(some beta version) resolves my problem?

Thanks for supporting,
