Please report (privately?) cases of success of using IDE cdwriters &
kernel-2.2.12 with your kernel configuration.
I get an error when I recompile the kernel with the options of an IDE
cdwriter from the HOWTO (look at the attachment).
I have redhat6.1 on an AsusP5A (K6-2 333) and a Philips CDD3610
cdwriter, if that helps.
