I get a similar problem when I load the ltmodem.o driver. I'm running 2.2.12
(redhat kernel) with pcmcia cs 3.0.14 on a ThinkPad with an internal lucent
winmodem and a 3C589 ethernet card. Everything works fine until I load the
ltmodem.o driver for the winmodem and try to use the device. Then I get all
kinds of interrupts dropped as shown below. It seems to slow down the
network access a bit, but other than that it's still usable. I don't have
source for the driver so I can't even try to debug it but I expect it has
something to do with the driver/winmodem slowing down the machine too much or
consuming too many resources. The module is >400kb afterall. *shrug*
