[2.3.31] ppp_deflate doesn't compile

Hi !

"make modules" in 2.3.31 fails to build the ppp_deflate module.
The process always stops with a "gcc internal compiler error: sig 11".

When I first boot an 2.2.xx kernel and then try to compile
the 2.3.31 modules, all of them build with no problems, but when the
2.3.31 kernel runs, the described error occurs.

This sig-11 is definitely no hardware problem, but I'm not shure if
it is in the ppp-code or if cpp/gcc is the cause.
