Hi,

In ide.h: #define INITIAL_MULT_COUNT 0
In ide-disk.c: drive->mult_req = INITIAL_MULT_COUNT;

However, for me this gives me (during idedisk_setup):
hda:hda: set_multmode: status=0x51 { DriveReady SeekComplete Error }
hda: set_multmode: error=0x04 { DriveStatusError }

so I set in ide.h #define INITIAL_MULT_COUNT 32

Alternatively, part of Andre Hedrick's ide_2_2_12_19990925 patch can be
used by doing the following:
