2.2.13: Access beyond end of the device still there :-(

Hi,

yesterday, it happend again - with running 2.2.13, I got the
"Access beyond end of device" filesystem-error again.

It happend to me on a 30+MB file.

Reading of this file gave this error, and when I deleted it, I got
two EXT2-FS errors (invalid block in filelist or sth. similar). An e2fsck
repaired this.

Mike Black told me, when I reported this error for the first time, that
my PII-400 CPU could be the cause, but it's really hard to believe, since
I'm running this CPU for ten months now and never had any problems with it.

About the other hardware:
P2B-S (with AHA2940 U2W onboard)
128MB PC-100 RAM
IBM DDRS 39130

Any ideas, what's wrong here (or a proof, that my CPU is faulty)?

Thank you very much
Christoph
