Linux leaking space on FAT partitions! (Its Norton's fault...)

Well I feel stupid. Thanks to a hint from James Harper, turns out I had
Norton Protection on my trash can. (Thought I disabled that, or was that
last months reinstall...) Well, its disabled now, and all seems well.
Let this be a lesson to Linux/Windows multibooters, beware of Peter
Nortons clogging up the bit bucket...
