M/O floppies "just work" with 2.2.x. Fujitsu sent me a pair of their drives
to get the bits of support in. You need ide-scsi loaded for ATAPI (IDE)
units. You need to use larger block sizes (2k or 4k) for bigger media.

The blanking stuff is done by the drive.
