New IDE (ATA) drives (Seagate ST34311A) gives the following errors:

"hda: status timeout: status=0xd0 { Busy }
hda: no DRQ after issuing WRITE
ide0: reset: success"

Errors appear after disk activity but is not consistant.
Distribution is RedHat 6.1 / kernel 2.2.12 (no patches)
Tried on 2 different systems (Pentium II's) - same result.
System boots ok so can't be geometry problems.

Attached files is dmesg output, and 'hdparm -i /dev/hda' and 'hdparm
/dev/hda' outputs.

Anyone else seen this problem?

Appreciate any suggestions.
Regards
