Have previously installed Linux on a SUN Ultra 5 333Mhz with two Quad
NICs (PCI). I have tested kernels (Some by RedHat compiled),
vmlinux-2.2.13
vmlinux-2.2.5-15
vmlinux-2.2.5-22
vmlinux-2.3.9
... and they all have the same delays. The delays exist with crossover
cables as well as over a router.
A simple ping from another host looks like this,

It's the same pattern from every host I try from and the peek is almost
always at 1001.1 ms or 1001.2 ms, but not when I ping simultaneously from
another host.

Note the difference in response when pinging from two hosts
simultaneously.
Anyone have any ideas? Help me here, I'm stuck.
