Hi all,

I crashed 2.3.24 today writing a CD with an IDE writer and ide-scsi.
Hope the following info will be helpful. Please get back to me if I
missed something out or if I can help in any way. For obvious
reasons, this is not a bug I would like to reproduce ;)
Thanks and many greetings

Max

Report follows:

[1.] One line summary of the problem:

Oops writing CD in 2.3.24

[2.] Full description of the problem/report:

A series of three 'Kernel BUG' messages appeared while writing a CD on
a Mitsumi CR-4801TE (IDE) with cdrecord. The last BUG locked the
machine. Output was written into /var/log/messages before I
umounted/booted the machine through SysRq's. The CD was toast, of
course.
It seemed like the machine ran out of free physical memory and started
swapping just before it crashed and locked (I conclude that from the
last glimpse of xosview I got before it locked.)

[3.] Keywords (i.e., modules, networking, kernel):

CD-writing, cdrecord

[4.] Kernel version (from /proc/version):

Linux version 2.3.24 (root@oberon) (gcc version egcs-2.91.66 19990314
(egcs-1.1.2 release)) #1 Tue Nov 2 00:15:45 NZDT 1999

[5.] Output of Oops.. message (if applicable) with symbolic
information
resolved (see Documentation/oops-tracing.txt)

Here are the three 'BUGS' messages. I piped through ksymooops
seperately and attached the output below too.
