I get an oops loading 2.2.12ac1 during boot-up. Loading normal 2.2.13, which
works fine for me (using the same .config) (as have many previous kernels),
I get:

Sound initialization started
<Sound Blaster 16 (4.13)> at 0x220 irq 5 dma 1,5
<Sound Blaster 16> at 0x330 irq 5 dma 0
<Yamaha OPL3> at 0x388
Sound initialization complete

..but loading 2.2.13ac1, it oops's right after the second line there.

Compiler: gcc 2.7.2.3
System: Cyrix P166+ w/ 32Mb RAM
Hardware: (boringly standard)
Sb16 (driver compiled in the kernel)
DLink PCI network card (Dec tulip driver, compiled in the kernel, with
IP networking etc)
S3 Virge video card.
No SCSI, only IDE hard drives+CD.
No other unusual stuff, just some modules which wouldn't have been loaded by
that point anyway.
