bug in 2.3.22:NULL pointer dereference

Current kernel:linux-2.3.22. pre-2.3.22-1 worked, pre-2.3.22-2 FAILED
Tried backing out fs/proc/array.c changes, but since this came in
2.3.22 final(not between pre-1 & pre-2), no help.
