I believe so. Note that the "insert" script and the module defaults
might not default to "enabling" this feature (by limiting the number of
PCM channels to 2 by default). Try loading the snd-card-xxx module with
the parameter "snd_pcm_voices=8" (where the "8" can be a number higher
than 2).
