Kernel 2.3.20 (compiled with gcc version 2.95.2 19990906 (prerelease)
-- ugh, well, the Debian people seem to think that's ok), UP, on an
Pentium II box (with Asus P2L97 mainboard). Kernel was booted with
`init=/bin/sh', so this is complete a userspace issue.

deneb:/# ls -l /dev/psaux
crw------- 1 root root 10, 1 Oct 11 12:22 /dev/psaux
deneb:/# cat /dev/psaux > /dev/null
[^C has no effect here, but ENTER still causes line feeds.]
[Now move the mouse.]
[The keyboard is dead. Magic SysRq doesn't work.]

I haven't tried yet whether it's only the keyboard which is dead.
