I wrote to the list 2 months ago with my PCI problem, then I got the
answer that my PCI controller driver (ALI15xx) will be only in the version
2.3.x and in the future version 2.4.x supported.

under boot process: (on 2.2.x)
-------------------

Sep 11 14:02:49 cthulhu kernel: PCI_IDE: unknown IDE controller on PCI bus 00 device 58, VID=10b9, DID=5229
Sep 11 14:02:49 cthulhu kernel: PCI_IDE: not 100% native mode: will probe irqs later
Sep 11 14:02:49 cthulhu kernel: PCI_IDE: simplex device: DMA disabled
Sep 11 14:02:49 cthulhu kernel: ide0: PCI_IDE Bus-Master DMA disabled (BIOS)
Sep 11 14:02:49 cthulhu kernel: PCI_IDE: simplex device: DMA disabled
Sep 11 14:02:49 cthulhu kernel: ide1: PCI_IDE Bus-Master DMA disabled (BIOS)

Since that time I have already tried the 2.3.x one which kernel oopsed
randomly. It would be important here that it does not oops because a web
server is running here, and its not good if it gets frozen. So what should
I do? This error is getting kinda boring which is generated by the 2.2.x
randomly as well:

Sep 11 18:56:24 cthulhu kernel: hda: lost interrupt
Sep 11 18:56:24 cthulhu kernel: ide0: unexpected interrupt, status=0x58, count=1
Sep 11 18:56:24 cthulhu kernel: hda: lost interrupt
Sep 11 18:56:24 cthulhu kernel: ide0: unexpected interrupt, status=0x58, count=2
Sep 11 18:56:24 cthulhu kernel: hda: lost interrupt
Sep 11 18:56:24 cthulhu kernel: ide0: unexpected interrupt, status=0x58, count=3
Sep 11 18:56:24 cthulhu kernel: hda: lost interrupt
Sep 11 18:56:24 cthulhu kernel: ide0: unexpected interrupt, status=0x58, count=4
Sep 11 18:56:24 cthulhu kernel: hda: lost interrupt
Sep 11 18:56:24 cthulhu kernel: ide0: unexpected interrupt, status=0x58, count=5
Sep 11 18:56:24 cthulhu kernel: hda: lost interrupt
Sep 11 18:56:24 cthulhu kernel: ide0: unexpected interrupt, status=0x58, count=6

What can I do ?
