Kernel 2.2.10 gives for a Intel 486 CPU (33MHz):

kgate:~ # cat /proc/cpuinfo
processor : 0
vendor_id : unknown
cpu family : 4
model : 0
model name : unknown
stepping : unknown
fdiv_bug : no
hlt_bug : no
sep_bug : no
f00f_bug : no
coma_bug : no
fpu : yes
fpu_exception : yes
cpuid level : -1
wp : yes
flags :
bogomips : 16.44

In kernel 2.0.35 I get (copied by hand):
processor : 0
cpu : 486
model : unknown
vendor_id : unknown
stepping : unknown
...

I.e. it seems the "cpu" tag is gone without a proper replacement.

Is that intentional? Documentation/Changes does not mention that.

Regards,
Ulrich
