No (thought I made that clear)! But there were made general statements
that C++ isn't useful at all... and real OO would be something
different than the it's approach. I just couldn't resist to state that I've
different experiences with application-level projects.

I agree. But then...I'm not quite sure where the exact line
between low- and high- level soft should be drawn (no, I don't want
to raise that microkernel issue again ;-).
