The following happens on a 2.2.9 system with the 2GB RAM patch.

[root@ls3005 /root]# i386-glibc20-linux-gcc -o hello hello.c

/usr/i386-glibc20-linux/bin/as.real: Can not allocate 12300 bytes after
allocating 0 bytes

What is the problem ?
If I reboot with mem=1024K it works.

Thanks in advance
- Thomas
