Hi,

I'm running an webserver on an Alpha system (LCA PCI-33 @166MHz)

The machine has two ethernet boards (RTL8139) one is used to
connect to my ISP and the other to connect to a database server.

When I performed some 'heavy' nfs filecopying (read: backup the
html stuff to the database machine) I got the following messages
in the logs:

portmap: RPC call returned error 61
RPC: task of released request still queued!
RPC: (task is on xprt_pending)
lca: machine check (la=0xfffffc00002084d0,pc=0xfffffc000042fa50)

Reason: access to non-existent memory (long frame):

this is how /proc/pci looks like:

I/O at 0x9000 [0x9001].
Non-prefetchable 32 bit memory at 0x19000000 [0x19000000].

How should I interpret 'Attempted to access non-existent
memory', normally this would result in a segfault wouldn't it ?
Is this serious hardware trouble or what ?

The system has 48 Mb RAM.
