I have seen many EXT2 warnings under Linux 2.2.7:

EXT2-fs warning (device sd(8,1)): ext2_free_blocks: bit already cleared for block 257883
EXT2-fs warning (device sd(8,1)): ext2_free_blocks: bit already cleared for block 257883
EXT2-fs warning (device sd(8,1)): ext2_free_blocks: bit already cleared for block 3299
EXT2-fs warning (device sd(8,1)): ext2_free_inode: bit already cleared for inode 448642
