scsi emulation (2.2.6)

Hi,

I was trying out the scsi-emulation on my ide zip drive and I got errors.
Here is how it goes.
First it was dected fine during the boot.

scsi0 : SCSI host adapter emulation for IDE ATAPI devices
scsi : 1 host.
Vendor: IOMEGA Model: ZIP 100 Rev: 23.D
Type: Direct-Access ANSI SCSI revision: 00
Detected scsi removable disk sda at scsi0, channel 0, id 0, lun 0
scsi : detected 1 SCSI disk total.
SCSI device sda: hdwr sector= 512 bytes. Sectors= 196608 [96 MB] [0.1 GB]
sda: Write Protect is off

but later on I got error.. (still the booting process..)

Partition check:
sda: sda1
hda: hda1 hda2 < hda5 hda6 >
hdb:<3>ide-scsi: hdb: unsupported command in request queue (0)
end_request: I/O error, dev 03:40 (hdb), sector 0
unable to read partition table

and from there on I kept getting errors like this

ide-scsi: hdb: unsupported command in request queue (0)
end_request: I/O error, dev 03:40 (hdb), sector 2
VFS: Disk change detected on device ide0(3,64)
hdb:<3>ide-scsi: hdb: unsupported command in request queue (0)
end_request: I/O error, dev 03:40 (hdb), sector 0
unable to read partition table
ide-scsi: hdb: unsupported command in request queue (0)
end_request: I/O error, dev 03:40 (hdb), sector 0
FAT bread failed
VFS: Disk change detected on device ide0(3,64)
hdb:<3>ide-scsi: hdb: unsupported command in request queue (0)

every time I tried to mount the zip drive. I thought maybe the
disk was corrupted. so I tried a different disk and tried to
format by running 'mkfs -t ext2 /dev/hdb' and then it chewed up
all the memory and swap pretty efficiently. 128MB mem and 128 swap
was gone in a flash. All of which returned as soon as I stopped
mkfs.

Any clues? I attached the .config file in case I am doing something
wrong..

Thanx!

Ji Lee
