kernel: Sound: Recording overrun

Hi

When I record from /dev/dsp using sox like this:

sox -t ossdsp /dev/dsp -r 44100 -s -w -c 2 foo.wav

The kernel complains

kernel: Sound: Recording overrun

and foo.wav is screwed.

Is this is a scheduling-/buffering problem ?
Any suggestions how to approach this problem ?
