CS_ASCII does not appear to be defined anywhere:

root@rcp /usr/src/linux-2.2.6 # find . -name '*.[ch]' -print | xargs grep CS_ASCII /dev/null
./net/irda/iriap.c: "CS_ASCII",
./net/irda/iriap.c: case CS_ASCII:
./net/irda/irias_object.c: value->charset = CS_ASCII;
./net/irda/irlmp.c: irlmp->discovery_cmd.charset = CS_ASCII;
./net/irda/irlmp.c: irlmp->discovery_rsp.charset = CS_ASCII;

Here are my IrDA options:

CONFIG_IRDA=m
# CONFIG_IRLAN is not set
CONFIG_IRCOMM=m
CONFIG_IRLPT=m
CONFIG_IRLPT_CLIENT=m
