Failed compile of 2.2.4 on SPARC IPC...

Well, this is my first post and I read the FAQ, went to the UltraPenguin page and
a few other SPARC/Linux pages and was unable to find anything. So, I felt I was
following proper netiquette in posting. Also, I am not on the kernel mailing list
and would appreciate if you would CC: me on all replies. Thanks.

I have a nice little SPARC IPC with 36MB of RAM and a 540MB SCSI drive. I did a
'make vmlinux' and everything compiled and then this stuff was spit out at me:

gcc -D__KERNEL__ -I/usr/src/linux-2.2.4/include -c -o btfix.o btfix.s

I did some grepping around and found the following:

/usr/src/linux/include/asm-sparc/io-unit.h function declarations
/usr/src/linux/drivers/net/sunhme.c only module utilizing them
/usr/src/linux/arch/sparc/kernel/sparc_ksyms.c EXPORT_SYMBOLS
/usr/src/linux/arch/sparc/mm/io-unit.c actual function bodies

I then looked for where 'io-unit.c' was compiled, but found nothing in the make
files. I have a feeling that I am missing something very basic and would
appreciate
any help. I have also listed out below the configuration file I used to compile
with. Sorry about the length of this. Thank you very much.
