There is a spinlocks.txt:

bsc@cryo:/usr/src/linux/Documentation > ll spinlocks.txt
-rw-r--r-- 1 1046 1046 7968 jun 24 1998 spinlocks.txt

... but only for 2.2. To make a 2.0-thingy SMP safe, you need to use
the right cli()/sti()/saveflags(..) combination.

Kind regards,

Brian
