PROBLEM: kernel OOPS and instability

I'm trying out the new kernel, etc, and after about 3 days and 2 hours
uptime, I experinced general instability with the GNOME CD player and
other Enlightenment window manager functions. Judging from the OOPS, I
guess gimp was running, although I don't remember it running for a while.
I guess it was wedged for a day or two ago. I did notice that the gimp
was consuming lots of CPU time at the same time I noticed the system
instability. I also got one Signal 11 message.

Here's all the oonfo I could dig out that should be helpful...
Contact me at mortonda@osprey.net if there is anything else I can dig out
for you.
