Okay - I now have access to the machine again and tried it out.

This did -not- work (posted device or resource busy)

Okay - should I debug further? (ie: should I go and put some printk's or
the like into the driver?) I've never really looked all that closely into
the sound driver code as it's worked really well otherwise :)
anyone else know how isapnp works with these beasts? AFAIK all resources
are setup fine and MIDI works perfectly (opl3 io=0x388). I've got the
sb-emu section commented out - should I?
I tried this with 2.2.2 kernel... (and 2.2.1) incidentally it also fails
to run properly with a soundblaster Pro 2 - is there anything special to
setup? (actually it works but it doesn't play audio)

sb-16, crystal 4237 (using 4232 driver) and GUS all work fine :)
.. I -have- used isapnp before - for the crystal soundcard which is
Plug-n-prey....

Also any reason why sk_filter struct is missing from patch-2.2?

TIA for any help, sorry to bother you folks and G'day, eh? :)
