I'm unable to reproduce the original bug with plain 2.2.2.
Your fix is obviously correct, but it makes me wonder if there's
another bug hiding behind the first bug. If you can reproduce it,
I'd be interested in the exact sequence and a pointer to the
2.2.2-arm patch.
