No, X behaves normally. Here are the numbers:

Without ATY:

Text: 31.5kHz @71Hz
X : 56.6kHz @71Hz

With ATY:

Text: 31.4kHz @60Hz (configurable with fbset)
X : 47.2kHz @59Hz
