Update: Thanks to Helge Hafting, my mixer actually works.
The line that made the difference was:
options pas2 io=0x388 irq=10 dma=5
Mine was (my 2.0.36/Win95 settings):
options pas2 io=0x220 irq=11 dma=7 joystick=1
