All works fine here. There are no more alises like it was in kernel 2.0.x
but you could assign few IP adresses on the one Ethernet card :-)

Of course. You shoult use smbmount from samba not from smbfs. Since this
version will not work with 2.0.x kernels even "2.2-ready" RedHat use old
version of smbmount from smbfs :-))
