Alpha always compares against 0 for the branch. I get 5 more
bits of displacement than MIPS, which is a good tradeoff, IMO,
especially since cmpxx dual issues. ;-)

Alpha FP compares result in 2.0 or 0.0, which you then feed into
fbne/fbeq.
