2.2.0-pre1: loop.o: unresolved symbol put_filp

When I do a modprobe loop, insmod loop or a depmod loop, then I get following:

tty3 - root 18:26:13 ~ #depmod -ae
/lib/modules/2.2.0-pre1/block/loop.o: unresolved symbol(s)
put_filp

Any idea, why?

BTW: I've compiled the kernel with the international crypto-patches
2.2.0-pre1.
