Please try the following:

ifconfig tunl0 192.168.1.3 netmask 255.255.255.255 pointopoint 134.147.2.1
route add -net 192.168.1.0 netmask 255.255.255.0 gw 134.147.2.1 tunl0
route del -host 134.147.2.1 tunl0

This is pretty close to what I am using currently. The pointopoint
ifconfig creates a host route to the remote tunnel endpoint through
the tunnel device; this route is required so the "route add"
succeeds, but it also prevents any packet to actually go to the
tunnel endpoint, and so must be deleted before any packet can flow.

Yes, this is ugly. Better solutions would be appreciated -- if any.

Thomas.
