The systems here are all set up to boot off a boot ROM on the network
cards, booting directly into WinNT in each case. Several of us
regularly boot them into Linux instead, having set up a boot floppy
which gets used in preference to the boot ROM if there's one inserted,
and its amazing how much can be done on a Linux system that's limited
to a single floppy in size...

My experience with boot ROMs has been that they almost always check
whether there's a floppy in the primary floppy drive that's bootable,
and boot off it if so, and off the network if not...

Best wishes from Riley.
