2.1.131 stock from Linus, SMP, 64mb RAM, IDE drives. Tyan Tomcat III with 2
P5-166mmx SMP.
Was cracking rc5 and playing audio at the time (standard load for me).
I heard a brief scratch/pop in the sound, and then everything locked up solid.
I was under X and nothing responded for a few minutes.
I traced that error to kernel/signal.c, which is in dequeue_signal():
/* Sanity check... */
if (mask == ¤t->blocked && signal_pending(current)) {
printk(KERN_CRIT "SIG: sigpending lied\n");
current->sigpending = 0;
}
I don't know what all that means, but it does look like the sanity check is
pointing out an "known" or at least "expected" error condition.
