there are alan cox's releases
there is vger
there is andrea's patches
there is the devfs patch (in or not for 2.2?)
would i be foolish to think that some or all of these will merge into 2.2 before
it ships?
or will some or all of these always remain separate
if so, why (did i saythat)?
i've been on this list for a long time and i've never heard a statement one way or
the other
most other patches seem to be sent to linus and he says yay or nay
the above seem to be different
