Hi,

I compiled Linux 2.1.131 with egcs 1.1.1 on Linux/alpha:

# cat /proc/cpuinfo
cpu : Alpha
cpu model : EV4
cpu variation : 0
cpu revision : 0
cpu serial number : Linux_is_Great!
system type : EB64+
system variation : Cabriolet
system revision : 0
system serial number : MILO-0000
cycle frequency [Hz] : 274995720 est.
timer frequency [Hz] : 1024.00
page size [bytes] : 8192
phys. address bits : 34
max. addr. space # : 63
BogoMIPS : 270.53
kernel unaligned acc : 0 (pc=0,va=0)
user unaligned acc : 12061 (pc=2000029d704,va=11fff614c)
platform string : N/A
# uname -a
Linux creek.lucon.org 2.1.131 #9 Fri Dec 4 08:33:03 PST 1998 alpha unknown

NIS seems to work just fine. BTW, I am running RedHat 5.2.
