Ok just my 0.02 euro

I saw this recently on new hard drives which worked perfectly on one
machine but when transfered to another they gave the NO ROM BASIC msg.
sometimes i could fix it by repartitioning the drive on the new machine
and installing everything again other times it just would let me
partition the drive install dos from disk and try to boot -> NO ROM
BASIC .. this is/was really frustrating. maybe some freak combination of
drive/host adapter.

Other thing that might cause this was the following. I forgot to
activate the partition from which it needed to boot. maybe something
screws up the partition table code on some machines..

Hope you'll get it working.

greets

Jim
