Missing from includes?

I've noticed that there are some things missing from, for example,
sys/types.h and sys/param.h on Linux. Why? At the very least, uchar_t,
ulong_t, ushort_t, and MAXNAMELEN are gone. All of these are found in both
Solaris and Dynix/ptx. Why not Linux?
