Hmmm. Try another keyboard.

Regardless of the software in use, the Cherry keyboards we have here don't
seem to produce the scan codes for the keys I listed when Alt-SysRq is pressed.

Swapping the keyboard for a GW2K PS/2 keyboard fixes the problem.

Odd.
