I have a Toshiba 320 CDS.
apm stopped working between 2.1.124 and 2.1.125.
On 2.1.124, no problemo.

on 2.1.125, apm -s froze the machine with lots of colored garbage (not
moving) on the vga screen. Ctrl-Alt-Del not working. Reset button putting
the machine in suspend mode, restarting it returning to the same colorful
screen... I had to use the hardcoded fonction key `toggle resume/start mode'
to bring it up again.

My apm configuration, which is the same in 2.1.124 and 2.1.125:

CONFIG_APM=y
# CONFIG_APM_IGNORE_USER_SUSPEND is not set
CONFIG_APM_DO_ENABLE=y
CONFIG_APM_CPU_IDLE=y
CONFIG_APM_DISPLAY_BLANK=y
CONFIG_APM_POWER_OFF=y
# CONFIG_APM_IGNORE_MULTIPLE_SUSPEND is not set
