RedHat 5.1, kernel 2.0.35 or Kernel 2.1.125.
Have onboard SCSI and eepro100 ethernet devices which insist on
coming up on the same IRQ (usually 9). If I add a cycaldes PCI
serial box then things move around but still clash.
Have upgraded to Intel's latest production BIOS (loads of bug
fixes) - now have BIOS "P10" installed. Problem still persists.
I'm told that "becuase the motherboard is PCI 2.1 compliant" you
can't map the IRQ numbers to the PCI slot/INT #A/#B etc. like you
could on older mother boards.
Should I be running with Pulg & Play enabled or disabled, or
what? Have spent half a day trying all combinations of settings
to no avail.
Any help greatly appreciated.
