That would be one of the first things to do once we enter
2.3; the other thing would be a DU/BSD-like multi-queue
VM system.

For now, we can remove the kswapd deadlock bug by applying
a combination of Andrea's patch and my patch. If Andrea
has finished his exams yet, the patch could be out real
soon, otherwise someone else is invited to make the fix :)

If Alan or Stephen want the job, I'll gladly forward you
the 'fixpack instructions'...
