So it sounds like the behavior that we are seeing on our 2.0.35 SMP
box with dual epic100's is reproducible elsewhere.

Is there anything we can do to help debug this. A down and up of both
our interfaces fixes the problem. If they are locked is there any
type of diagnostic information that would be helpful to obtain?

Since this is a production box with around 150 active IMAP feeds at
any given time we typically don't dally around for too long when the
NIC's decide to check out.... :-)

BTW about the only other thing in the box is a DPT-3334UW if that
helps in pinning down a common pattern.
