Thus sayith the Documentation/Changes file:

If you upgrade to libc-5.4.46, please read and pay attention to its
accompanying release notes. The section about it breaking make is not
a joke.

Problem is, I can't find the damned file that says what the workaround is in the
source distribution, (not README.*, Changelog or release.libc) and the binary
distribution has no docs at all!!

So I can't say RTFM because the FM is no good :(
