changes in plip.c 2.2 to 2.3

WHat chanegs were ther made between plip.c 2.2 and 2.3 (besides parport
code) since I had a "plip-on" script that *used* to enabel a plip line to
a laptop, but does no longer.

I've read the mini-howto (again) as well as teh relevent kernel docs (such
as changes, parport and 'the like') and the plip connection appears to
register at boot time (plip0, found irq blah blah [that much works])

I'm just wondering what else may have changes otehr than parport code that
I may not be aware of, if anything?
